Servo Systems have been produced by BRUNVOLL since 1938
The BRUNVOLL hydraulic power unit provides the necessary power for the propeller pitch actuator. For azimuth thrusters the units also powers the azimuth rotation/steering function and any retractable/locking arrangements.
The servo unit is a free standing module with pump, motor and all necessary valves and hydraulic devices to provide power to the specific thruster application.
Some units use the gravity tank as oil reservoir, other units have a separate tank integrated in its arrangement.
Stand by pump arrangements are used as required by function or class.
Servo systems for C.P. propellers have been produced by the company since 1938. Hydraulic servo systems for thrusters have been developed, designed and produced by the company since 1975.
